Q: How exactly does the class/race system work?
A: The class system is rather simple. There are 11 classes. Your class decide what kind of spells
you can cast and what kind of armor you can wear, also there are class-specific items that can
only be worn by one or a few classes. Classes also determine which abilities you get. Abilities
are special skills, and a complete document on them is in included in the Play Guide zip.
Q: How many ranks are there?
A: There are 5 ranks in each class. Mages get their basic spell tomes in the first three ranks, and
their abilities in the last two. Most warrior classes get four abilities and one spell tome, but
thieves get five abilities and no magic.
Q: What determines if you can advance in rank?
A: Skills and stats. The current skills/stats used for advancement (not all are used for all) are
tactics, magery, stealing, int, dex, str.
Q: What is the skill cap?
A: Skill cap is 800, but as skill guide states, some skills dont count towards it.
Q: What is the stat cap?
A: Stat cap is 250.
Q: I found a bug! Where do i report it? (okay so this isn't asked that much :P)
A: Email Wiz please.
Q: What kind of connection is the server on?
A: The server is run on a OC-48 meaning apart from any lag caused by npc's and scripts, there
should be NO lag.
Q: Where does the line for the "don't do it if it's too good to be true" rule go? I mean if I use the sucky
AI to let a bunch of monsters stand in a line while I kill them one by one, is that breaking rules?
A: The above example, no. That is something pretty much beyond the players control. However, if you
found out that the npcs stand around and do nothing while being killed if you run them 10 circles
around a pink backpack, that would be breaking the rules.
Q: How does the murder system work on this shard?
A: The murder system is combination of race wars and murdering with a restimer. It works this way:
Races in war can freely kill each other, meaning that Dark Elves and Orcs can kill Elves and Northmen
without worries. Neither can however kill humans without suffering murder marks, unless the human is in
a guild that has declared war on that race (this is a simple process, you just go into declare war,
select one of the races from the list and page for a gm to make the race war your guild). If you reach
5 murder marks you become murderer. For evils this is not a big problem, they are still welcome in their
own towns, however as murderer humans can kill you freely. If you die as a murderer, you cannot resurrect
for 8 hours (play or non-play).
